Brigada Eskwela 2024: Bayanihan Para sa Matatag na Paaralan
The Brigada Eskwela is an annual nationwide school maintenance program that brings together various education stakeholders to prepare public schools for the upcoming academic year. In line with DepEd Order No. 003, s. 2024, the 2024 Brigada Eskwela is scheduled from July 22 to 27, 2024, leading up to the school opening on July 29, 2024.
Purpose and Participation
The primary purpose of Brigada Eskwela is to ensure that schools are in optimal condition for the start of classes. Volunteers from local communities, parents, alumni, civic groups, businesses, NGOs, private individuals, teachers, and students actively participate in this six-day event. Their collective efforts contribute to clean-ups, minor repairs, and maintenance work within school premises.
Theme: Bayanihan Para sa Matatag na Paaralan
The theme for 2024 is “Bayanihan Para sa Matatag na Paaralan”, emphasizing the spirit of cooperation and community involvement. This theme underscores the importance of collaboration in creating a conducive learning environment for Filipino students.
Guidelines and Implementation
TThe mechanics for implementing Brigada Eskwela follow the guidelines outlined in DepEd Order No. 021, s. 2023. During the designated week, volunteers engage in activities such as:
Clean-ups: Sweeping classrooms, corridors, and school grounds to maintain cleanliness.

Repairs: Addressing minor damages, fixing broken furniture, and ensuring functional facilities.

Work: Checking electrical systems, plumbing, and other infrastructure components.
